Types of the ERASMUS+ programme mobilities and the required insurance coverage

The ERASMUS+ programme is devided into four types of foreign mobilities – Study mobility, Traineeship (for students and graduates), Training and Teaching (for academic staff). Only ERAPO travel insurance offers the needed coverage especially for each type of mobility that meets the requirements of the ERASMUS+ programme. Find out more.

Study Mobility

The aim of the Erasmus+ study mobility is to allow students to complete a part of their studies at a foreign university by selecting from the packages ERAPO Standard or ERAPO Premium, which contain the relevant insurance coverage. This type of mobility requires the basic health insurance. It is enough for the participants of this mobility to have the basic insurance package only –  ERAPO Basic. A student, if interested, can of course select the packages ERAPO Standard and ERAPO Premium, too.

Traineeship

The aim of the Erasmus+ traineeship mobility is to allow students and graduates to gain professional practical experience in a foreign company or organization (receiving organization abroad), with the financial support from the ERASMUS+ programme. In addition to the basic health insurance, this type of mobility also requires the accident and liability coverage for the damage caused to the receiving company. That is why for the case of traineeship mobility we recommend selecting from the packages ERAPO Standard or ERAPO Premium, which contain the relevant insurance coverage. 

Teaching

The aim of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility is to allow university employees to take part in the education process of the receiving organization abroad, with the financial support from the ERASMUS+ programme. This type of mobility requires not only the basic health insurance, but also the accident and liability coverage. That is why for the case of teaching we recommend selecting from the packages ERAPO Standard or ERAPO Premium, which contain the relevant insurance coverage.

Training

The aim of the Erasmus+ training mobility is to allow university employees to take part in a professional training abroad, with the financial support from the ERASMUS+ programme. This type of mobility requires not only the basic health insurance, but also the accident and liability coverage. That is why for the case of training we recommend selecting from the packages ERAPO Standard or ERAPO Premium, which contain the relevant insurance coverage.
