Green Erapo
Green travel as the beginning of greener mobility...and with an extra Erasmus grant!
Are you preparing for Erasmus mobility and thinking about how your mobility could be more ecological? You can start already when planning how you will get to mobility.
Let's forget about traveling by plane this time and let's look at other options. You can choose low-emission means of transport such as buses and trains or travel by shared car, the so-called car-pooling (min. 2 people traveling together for mobility).
If you choose one of these greener ways, you will not only reduce the carbon footprint of your Erasmus stay, but you can also use a one-time financial contribution for green travel in the amount of 50 EUR as an additional amount of individual support. At the same time, you may be assigned extra days for the trip (max. 2 days before mobility and max. 2 days after mobility). These days will be included in individual support with a financial grant.
In order to receive the allowance, it is necessary to fill out an affidavit before leaving for mobility and after the end of the mobility, it is necessary to document travel tickets or a ticket with a gas bill and a confirmation of payment for the purpose of documenting the mobility trip.
However, your choice of means of transport by which you can get to mobility is just a beginning and there are still many options how you can make your mobility greener. Starting with properly packed luggage, through the eco-friendly equipment of your accommodation to sustainable meals, all in the spirit of "Refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose or recycle".
